Grade Aplus #PIMP(Pennies In My Pocket)

Sometimes Facebook and Twitter serve as valuable tools for finding out about new music and meeting new people.  A couple months back I started hearing about this dude, Grade Aplus on Facebook through a couple mutual friends.  Since, I have been following dude’s releases as he has been preparing to drop his new project, #PIMP aka Pennies In My Pocket.  He works very closely with the producer Mike Jaxx, who is a part of the production team, The Hydrox, who produced Yelawolf’s lead single, Hard White.  Needless to say, you know the production is going to be serious!  I was impressed with Aplus and since been working on a collab and looking forward to hearing his whole project well, here it is! I definitely encourage everyone to listen, download and spread the word!  He dropped a video, Slackin’ last week over Schoolboy Q’s Nightmare on Figg St, so check that out below too.  Look for that Grumpy Old Men x Grade Aplus collab coming soon!

Man, glad lyrics are being brought to the mainstream.  Shout out to the whole Shady family and of course, Big KRIT and Kendrick.  Glad to see Tech N9ne getting shine too! Everyone kinda killed their verses.  Now if BET and MTV would put some music back on TV.

Rittz “White Jesus” Music Video and Mixtape

If you’re familiar with Yelawolf and his track Box Chevy Part 3, then you are already a little familiar with his boy, Rittz.  Well like Clinton Sparks might say, Get Familiar, because Rittz just dropped his new music video and mixtape called White Jesus.  Paul Wall would be proud because Rittz has the internet going nuts.  For real though, I watched his video last night and was really impressed so, I headed over to DJBooth, where his new mixtape is being hosted and downloaded it.  Once again, I’m really impressed.  I don’t know what I was expecting but dude blew my expectations out of the water.  I put money that this mixtape will be considered one of the best of the year probably alongside Pusha T’s Fear of God and hopefully a Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole tape.  Everyone should know by now that I’m real skeptical of new cats but dude’s buzz is well deserved and with Yelawolf, Big K.R.I.T. and 8 Ball cosigning, it’s not just a coincidence.  BIG shout out to Rittz.  White Jesus will definitely be on repeat all year.  Also big shout out to Yelawolf for executive producing duties and directing his video.  Check out the music video for White Jesus below and download his mixtape.
