I guess Black Milk’s Album of the Year fell out of the top 200 after just a week.  Damn shame seeing as how he has one of the best albums of the year.  Eminem looks like he will definitely hit triple platinum this year.  I wonder what Lil Weezy’s new(WACK) album, I Am Not A Human Being will sell.  I’m sure he will sell over 100k maybe 200.

Weekly Sales 9/8/2010

Things are looking about the same as last week.  Eminem is is pushing 2.5 million.  Ursher has two albums on the charts.  I’m not sure what’s the different though.  Check the top

Nothing too unusual.  Big Boi is still moving a few units.  Bun B as well.  I wonder how Black Milk’s album will fare next week?  Stay tuned.  Pusha T also has a mixtape dropping with his G.O.O.D. Music family.  Should be sick.

Weekly Sales

Sorry for last weeks absence but PTO was in full effect.  This week’s album sales are nothing too crazy however, Bun B hit the charts with his new album, Trill OG, moving 41K in its first week.  If you don’t already know, Trill OG was rated as a five mic classic by The Source magazine.  Eminem moved another 150K and is sitting just under 2 Millie for Recovery.  Check the top.

Weekly Numbers 7/7/2010

Eminem is still sitting on top of the charts this week and reached platinum in just two weeks of sales.  Congrats to Em, that’s pretty incredible considering the state of things.  Drake is sitting at number two and sold another 100K this week.  Love King, The Dream moved 58K in his first week.  That is kind of surprising considering that R&B seems to be the way to sell records nowadays.  Here is the top

It’s kind of amazing that you can be on the charts by only selling 2500 copies in a week.  I feel like I could do that out of my bookbag.  Dwele sold 14K in his first week.  The Roots moved 21,000 in their second week.  One of those copies will be mine next week.  Whoever Blaze Ya Dead Homie is moved a few more units this week.  Big Boi is on the chopping block next week.  Hopefully he can do at least 100K but I’m predicting 60-75K.  Regardless, go buy his album.

Weekly Sale 5/26/2010

Two really dope projects dropped last week so, I have been anticipating this weeks numbers more than usual.  This has been one of the most solid weeks in releases that I can remember recently.  Both Nas and Damian Marley and Reflection Eternal managed to make their way onto the charts.  Nas and Damian debuted at number 4 moving 58K in the first week and Reflection Eternal made their way to number 17 selling 21K.  Check the top

Its pretty cool to see Nas and Damian at number four even though B.o.B. sold more in his first week.  Janelle Monae also hit the charts at number 16 with her album, The ArchAndroid.  Her single Tightrope with Big Boi is really dope.  Stay tuned for next week…….

Weekly Numbers 3/24/2010

Naturally, it’s that time of the week again.  All the usual suspects are still on the charts.  Ludacris is sitting at number 3 moving just under 200K.  Sade is still the man, I mean WOMAN and Gorillaz are doing quite well.  Here is the top.

I guess the charts are looking pretty standard.  I heard there was some fradulent numbers surround Sam Adams, whoever that is.  His team responding saying that they would never purchase copies of their own albums.  I heard Cash Money did that shit for Wayne too.  Anyway, stay tuned until next week.  Once again, shout out to HipHopDx on the numbers as always.

Weekly Sales 2/17/10

I guess it’s getting quite obvious that R and B kind of runs this music sales thing.  Artist’s like Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and now Sade are murdering rappers in terms of record sales.  Lil Wayne, who is arguably the biggest artist on the planet, dropped Young Money’s album AND Rebirth in the span of a month or so and Sade comes out and does as many numbers as both projects combined in one week.  I guess maybe that is just Sade but even Jahiem, who I haven’t heard a peep out of in some time, debuted this week at number 3, selling 112K.  Check out the top.

Jay and Eminem are still moving a few units.  Young Money cleared 300K and Rebirth is approaching that 300K mark too.  I got to give it up to Wayne though, he is making a KILLING right now.  I bet Birdman and Slim are making even more than Wayne is.  Birdman, lemme see your portfolio please!!!!!!!!! Until next week, go cop that Freeway and Jake One “Stimulus Package.”

Weekly Sales 2/10/10

Fail on my part for posting this so late but here are the weekly sales numbers.  The only major release was from perhaps the hottest artist on the planet, Lil Wayne.  His highly anticipated album, Rebirth dropped on February 2nd.  With two singles/videos and a lot of mixed feelings, Rebirth finally came out despite the setbacks.  He debuted at number 2 moving just over 175K in his first week.  Considering how well Carter III sold and his current hype, I would call this disappointing.  However, 175K in a week is still pretty solid in these current times.  I bet his No Ceilings mixtape had over a million downloads in a few days.  Here is the top.
