Mick Boogie Presents “illadelph/matic” Nas X The Roots Madden 2012 Mixtape

I just stumbled across this mixtape on 2DopeBoyz and Okayplayer courtesy of Mick Boogie.  With a combination of Nas and The Roots, I know it will be dope but I’m curious to hear some stuff that maybe I haven’t heard before.  Looks like Nas, The Roots and Mick Boogie are performing live at Madden Bowl 2012 on February 2nd.  Wish I could make it to that show!  Check what Mick Boogie has to say below, download the tape  and watch the trailer!

Mick Boogie Presents “illadelph/matic” Nas X The Roots Madden 2012 Mixtape

The Roots and Nas are two of my favorite performers ever… and have such an amazing catalog of gems the average fan never heard.  This was a great opportunity to put something together for the people to enjoy!

Nuff said, really. Let’s be honest he had most of us at Nas X The Roots but if you’re still not sold on the concept or are having trouble keeping both Nas and The Roots in your mindframe at the same time, just watch the beautifully designed teaser video (above) and all will be made clear.

The Roots featuring Big K.R.I.T. “Make My”

You read that correctly.  The Roots and Big K.R.I.T. linked up for the first single from The Roots upcoming album, undun.  ?uestlove had some interesting words to say about this album so, check that out below and listen to Make My.  This should be an awesome album.  As if The Roots ever disappoint.  I can’t wait for the Undun tour!

“‘undun’ is the story of this kid who becomes criminal, but he wasn’t born criminal,” says drummer Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson in a press release. “He’s not the nouveau exotic primitive bug-eyed gunrunner like Tupac’s character Bishop in “Juice”… he’s actually thoughtful and is neither victim nor hero. Just some kid who begins to order his world in a way that makes the most sense to him at a given moment… At the end of the day… isn’t that what we all do?”

I guess Black Milk’s Album of the Year fell out of the top 200 after just a week.  Damn shame seeing as how he has one of the best albums of the year.  Eminem looks like he will definitely hit triple platinum this year.  I wonder what Lil Weezy’s new(WACK) album, I Am Not A Human Being will sell.  I’m sure he will sell over 100k maybe 200.
