Big Boi featuring Janelle Monae “Be Still” Music Video

Here is the second video I saw this weekend.  This time it is Big Boi’s Be Still featuring Janelle Monae.  Another great song from one of last year’s best albums.  Shout out to Outkast.  I have been listening to Stankonia and Aquemini all this past week/weekend.  Hopefully we can get that Andre 3000 solo album and another Outkast album soon.  Check out Be Still below and a little bonus, Tightrope from Janelle Monae featuring Big Boi.

Big Boi Live

I know I have been going pretty hard for Big Boi in the last couple weeks but yesterday evening just reaffirmed the fact that, Big Boi is AMAZING.  I sound like I have a middle school crush. I got the opportunity to go to the Pitchfork Music Festival yesterday in Chicago and see Big Boi rock live with a band.  We were pretty damn close to the stage so we could feel the energy and hear every word Big Boi was saying.  He played old tracks, new tracks and even rocked Kryptonite with his artist/hype man, C Bone.  I’ve seen a lot of shows and a lot of people who can’t rock live.  Big Boi sounds just as good live as he does in the studio.  I definitely urge anyone who has the chance to see Big Boi live, buy tickets.  You will not be disappointed.  In spirit of Big Boi’s shows last night, I wanted to share a couple videos of him performing live on Jimmy Fallon with The Roots and on Lopez Tonight.  Happy Monday and go buy Sir Luscious Left Foot right now.

Man I can’t wait until The Roots drop that OFFICIAL, Live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon project.  They artists that they have been backing have just been incredible collaborations.

Shutterbug

I hope you all don’t mind but I’m gonna flood the site a little bit today with some dope  music.  First off is Big Boi’s new video for the single, Shutterbug.  At first, I wasn’t sure how to feel about this song but after listening more, the beat is BANANAS and the video hits it out of the park.  I can see why Andre told Big Boi to make this a single.  I love to see creative shit and Outkast NEVER disappoints.  It should be a lesson to rappers.  It doesn’t matter how long you have been doing this, your music should always be fresh, new and GOOD and their is NO reason that the videos should be terrible.  BE CREATIVE.   Shout out to Scott Storch on the beat.  Sir Luscious Left Food shall be out SOON!!!!!!
