I apologize for my absence in the latter half of the week last week. It was just one of those weeks. This week is starting off strong however, with a couple new videos from Nas and Damian Marley and Big Boi. The first video is from Nas and Damian Marley for their song, Nah Mean. Also, one of my favorites from Distant Relatives. This video is a continuation from Land of Promise. Looks like they shot it right after they shot Land of Promise. Nice visuals for an awesome record. Check it out.

Damian Marley and Nas “Patience” Music Video
I just came across Damian Marley and Nas’ new music video for their track, Patience. Definitely one of my favorite songs from Distant Relatives. I love to see the promotion and love is still being spread over into 2011 for their album. Distant Relatives is still one of the best albums of 2010 and actually in the last few years. If case you have wonder what song they sampled for Patience, it’s a track called Sabali from the duo, Amadou and Mariam. Check it out below. If you haven’t bought, Distant Relatives, go buy a copy now. Make sure you catch Damian Marley and Nas on tour as well. They put on an amazing show.
Distant Relatives
It’s been a while but I’m back on my Classic Shit Fridays thanks to some cool videos from B+ and some amazing music from Nas and Damian Marley. One of my favorite albums of 2010 is Distant Relatives. It took several years in the making but the final product was amazing. I got the chance to see them perform live at the North Coast Music Festival and they absolutely shut shit down. It was only fitting that all week I watched and posted videos from B+ of the Distant Relatives, that I listened to the album again today. Perfect Friday music. Really perfect any day music. If you get a chance to see these guys live, together, separate, whatever, you need to do that. Here are some of my favorite joints from the album. Enjoy and Happy Friday!!!!!!
