Frostwire and Frostclick present Mike Schpitz “Spring Cleaning”

I know it seems like I just dropped my mixtape, The Prize Package Volume 1 but I got the opportunity to link with Frostwire and Frostclick to do an exclusive mixtape for their site and their torrent downloading program. If you recall, back in 2009, Frostwire and Frostclick featured my debut album, Sunday Drive and it received A LOT of love and over 81,000 downloads. So, when they asked me about doing an exclusive project, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity and had to show the love back. This time, I put together a mixtape called Spring Cleaning, which features 19 tracks of old and new material from each of my projects since Sunday Drive. I have songs from Love Potion Number 9th, Mike Murder, Stanley Ipkiss, The Prize Package Volume 1, Sunday Skool with Pete Sayke and Have You Seen My Stapler? with SLOT-A. It is basically a history lesson about my music and has some new, unheard stuff. Spring Cleaning went live yesterday so, go over to Frostwire and Frostclick to download it. The link is below as well as the track list and a snippet of the post on Frostclick.com

Frostwire/Frostclick’s First 1,000,000 Downloads

2009 had some incredible moments for me both personally and musically.  One of the biggest opportunities that I had was getting my debut album with Phys Edison, Sunday Drive featured on Frostwire/Frostclick.  Thanks to my guy Mike at FlawlessHustle.com, the people at Frostclick/Frostwire featured Sunday Drive for a week or so which translated into over 81,000 downloads.  Frostclick/Frostwire put together a year ending compilation album to celebrate the first 1,000,000 downloads that they received and featured my song, Sit on the Moon.  They also included a digital booktlet and some information about all the artist featured.  As if this wasn’t enough, Sunday Drive has the most downloads of any artist featured on the compilation.  This is an incredible look and honor for both me and Phys Ed.  It really shows the appeal and support that people had for the album.  I wanted to thank everyone who checked out Sunday Drive and who have supported the music.  I have a lot of incredible things planned for 2010.  Make sure you download the whole compilation album from Frostwire/Frostclick and help them celebrate their first 1,000,000 downloads.

Mike Schpitz

I know it has been a while since I have had any new material to release but I wanted to give everyone an update about Sunday Drive, the Sucka MCs video and a new joint that I am going to release, Hat Hype.  First off, thanks to all the support of sites, blogs and especially Flawless Hustle and Frostwire and Frostclick, Sunday Drive has had amost 80,000 downloads and counting.  After a month after it’s release, Sunday Drive had 1000 and now were almost at 80,000.  That is just incredible.  The feedback and support has been amazing including a bunch of people requesting shows in their cities and states.  I assure you all it will be soon.  My next scheduled show is actually next Saturday, August 29th at The Scion Lab in Kansas City, Missouri.  This is the first stop of SNRadioOnline.com’s New Midwest City/College Tour.  Hosted by Stretch1, the tour will have stops all around the Midwest in the next several months.  If you are in the Kansas City area on August 29th, make sure you come check us out.  September 1st, I will be releasing an exclusive joint, Hat Hype produced by SLOT-A in anticipation for the Sunday Drive Remixes featuring The League of Ordinary Gentlemen, the music video for Sucka MCs and the Itunes version of Sunday Drive.  I can’t stress how incredible the response for Sunday Drive has been.  I appreciate all the downloads, listens, feedback, love, support, comments, etc.  Look forward to new music for the rest of the year, including my mixtape/album Love Potion Number 9th: The Hangover sponsored by Flawless Hustle.  Stayed tuned for daily updates and new music.  If you haven’t already downloaded Sunday Drive, please do so and share your feedback and comments with us.
