Sigh of Relief

Lebron James

Lebron James

A huge concern of mine for the last couple of months has been for Lebron James.  After watching almost every game of the playoffs thus far, I, like many other keen observers, have been obsessed with the HUGE goiter on the right side of Lebron’s face.  I would find myself rewinding my dvr just to show people how large this growth was.  The more frustrating part is that I NEVER heard it addressed by any commentators or on any online articles.  I did a fair share of research about the growth and only came across message board discussions and speculation by other obsessed people.  So today, I FINALLY found out that he had surgery to remove this benign growth on James’ parotid gland.  The procedure took 5 hours and Lebron is expected to make a full recovery.  I can finally breath again.

Last night was kind of a bittersweet moment for me.  Watching Lebron and the Cavs totally blow it sucked something terrible.  However, it always warms my heart to see underdogs win especially in the NBA.  The Orlando Magic not only beat the Cavs but they silenced critics and pretty much dominated the series.  Although I want Lebron to win a title, I also love to see a team like the Magic in the finals.  Now I’m on gonna jump on the bandwagon and say GO MAGIC!!!!!  I love Turkoglu and Lewis and now Pietrus is one of my favorite players in the NBA.  So if you need another reminder, NBA Finals are this week.  Don’t miss them.

Case in Point. NBA=AMAZING

After missing the Tuesday and Wednesday night games, I watched game 5 of the Magic vs Cavs series and of course, it did not disappoint.  The Cavs came out on fire and Mo Williams was lights out from three.  The Magic came back towards the end of the half and actually led for a decent amount of the second half until Lebron just tookover.  In the fourth quarter in particular, the Cavs had Lebron post up at the free throw thing and just facilitate the entire offense.  He either took it to the rack and scored, got fouled or made an assist.  He had his hand in almost every point in the fourth quarter either scoring or assisting on damn near every bucket.  Lebron ended the game with 37 points, 12 assists and 14 boards and the Cavs brought the series to closer 3-2, with the Magic leading by one game.  It was unreal how Lebron just took over the entire game and dominated the whole fourth quarter.  He looked like he was playing back in high school, picking and choosing his attack.  Anyways, point being, watch the rest of the playoffs.   It has been AMAZING!!!!!
