Weekly Sales 6/9/10

What up world?????  Here are the weekly numbers once again.  No major releases hit the shelves last week but TWO major releases sprung a leak.  Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later and Eminem’s Recovery both hit the net in the past week or so and have been getting A LOT of attention.  I would imagine the downloads are in the millions. Anyway, the usual suspects are still up top.  Nas and Damian reached over 100k, which I must say that I’m pretty excited to see that.  Here is the top.

It’s pretty amazing that Black Eyed Peas are STILL moving more units than everyone else.  I guess I should reconsider making hip hop music and go straight pop.  Shout out to Will I.Am. though.  Dude is an incredible producer.  Reflection Eternal moved another 4,700 but I doubt they will hit 100K any time soon.  Until next week, go download the new Drake and Eminem.

Weekly Sales 5/5/2010

I am dedicated this weeks numbers post to my man, Andres.  After convincing me that B.o.B.’s album wasn’t bad, better than Wale’s and that it would move Lil Wayne numbers, this is my chance to boast.  Although B.o.B. did debut at number one, he moved 85K in his first week.  Definitely not bad for a newcomer in these times but DEFINITELY not Wayne numbers.  Good thing for Nothin On You or this album would have moved less than 50K.  Here is the top.

Weekly Numbers 4/14/2010

Looking at my Gucci it’s about that time.  There were no major releases last week to speak of so, no real surprises in the numbers.  Erykah Badu is still in the top 10.  Ursher is sitting at number 2 and Monica is at number 6.  Luda and Blacked Eyed Peas are still sitting up top as well.  I’m curious to know WHO keeps buying copies of Black Eyed Peas.  Here is the top.

Once again, sorry for the delay on the weekly numbers.  I don’t really have a valid excuse other than just forgetting.  My sincerest apologies.  A couple new albums hit the shelves last week.  Monica dropped a new album and is sitting at number 2.  Brotha Lynch Hung also dropped and is sitting towards to bottom at 68.  Of course, Black Eye Peas are still up top along with Sade who went platinum.  Here is the top.

Weekly Numbers 3/17/2010

The numbers are in once again.  There were a few new releases that dropped last week and two of them hit the top of the charts.  Ludacris dropped his album, Battle of the Sexes, and debuted at number 1, moving 137K.  Right below Luda was the Gorillaz new album, Plastic Beach, debuting at number 2 with 112K.  Still up at the are Sade, Black Eyed Peas and Lil Wayne’s Rebirth.  Here is the top.

Weekly Numbers 3/10/2010

Another week is upon us and the numbers are rolling in.  Kinda.  A couple new releases dropped last week and are sitting up top despite the small numbers.  Raheem DeVaughn moved 45K while DJ Khaled sold 25K.  Sade is still sitting pretty in the number 2 slot and Black Eye Peas are in number 8.  Check the top.

Weekly Sales 3/3/10

It’s Wednesday and the weekly numbers are in for the first week in March.  Sade is still holding on to the top spot, moving 127K.  Black Eye Peas are still dominating things with another 50K and my boo, Miss Keys is still sitting up top.  Here is top

Sorry for the evening post but I wanted to update everyone with some weekly numbers before the night was up.  Sade and Jaheim held tight up top.  Black Eyed Peas are STILL “selling out” of the stores and Miss Keys is holding on strong too.  Check the top

Weekly Sales 2/10/10

Fail on my part for posting this so late but here are the weekly sales numbers.  The only major release was from perhaps the hottest artist on the planet, Lil Wayne.  His highly anticipated album, Rebirth dropped on February 2nd.  With two singles/videos and a lot of mixed feelings, Rebirth finally came out despite the setbacks.  He debuted at number 2 moving just over 175K in his first week.  Considering how well Carter III sold and his current hype, I would call this disappointing.  However, 175K in a week is still pretty solid in these current times.  I bet his No Ceilings mixtape had over a million downloads in a few days.  Here is the top.
