Apple iPad Tablet

I just wanted to share this amazing video with everyone.  It has been rumored for quite some time that Apple will be releasing a touchscreen computer much like the iPhone.  Well the rumors are true and the iPad Tablet ships in 60 or 90 days.  I jumped on macrumors.com and found the video that Apple released.  Check it out and be prepared to be amazed.

Weekly Numbers 1/27/2010

This is my first post from Los Angeles.  I touched down last night and am greeted today by beautiful weather and a trip to VIP Records in Long Beach.  Some of you may remember VIP from Snoop’s video, What’s My Name? Here is the video just to remind you.  We road around bumping the Twinz album, Conversation while enjoying the sunshine.

Anyway, here are the weekly numbers.  MTV’s Hope For Haiti project topped the charts at number one moving just under 175K.  The 2010 Grammy Nominations CD moved just under 50K while Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and Black Eyed Peas stay up top.  Here’s the top.

Nothing surprising here.  The produced RJD2 sold some pretty miniscule numbers but I bet he sells more at his shows then in the stores.  I can imagine it is pretty hard to find that album at your local Best Buy.  I want to remind everyone that I will be rocking in Los Angeles at The Mint this Sunday, January 31st.  Anyone in the area please come out and support.  I hear that it is cold and snowy in Chicago.  I can’t say that I miss home just yet.  Until next week……

Freddie Gibbs and Mikkey Halsted “On My Own”

I just stumbled upon a new video from Gary, Indiana native Freddie Gibbs and Chicago’s Mikkey Halsted called On My Own.  The reason this track/video is so significant because it is the first single from my guy, Maja 7th’s album, The Breakout.  For those of you who don’t know Maja 7th, he is one of the illest producers in Chicago and I got the opportunity to set off the recording sessions for this album.  We have a track on The Breakout called Going For Broke.  The album is done and mixed and will be released very soon so stayed tuned.  I know Maja 7th is excited to get the project out there.  There are some REALLY dope features on the album.  This is going to be a big project for Maja 7th and Chicago as a whole.

DJBooth.net Presents Rhymes and Rhythm for Relief

I got an opportunity to be a part of DJBooth.net’s new project in support of Haiti called Rhymes & Rhythm for Relief.  I submitted a brand new song called Daily News produced by SLOT-A.  We recorded this song on Saturday night and I submitted it Sunday and they chose the song to be a part of the project.  It is not only a great opportunity to work with a site such as DJBooth.net but to be a part of a project that is in support of Haiti and the horrible tragedy that is going to affect people for a long, long time is very humbling for me.  This is one of my most personal songs to date so it means a lot that it was chosen to be a part of this project.  Everyone please download Rhymes & Rhythm for Relief right here and spread the word.  Your thoughts, prayers and any other aid you can provide is needed now and in the future to help Haiti and all of those affected by the earthquake.  Here is the track list and the download link
