I am sure you all have heard about Kanye’s recent comments about him being the “NEW” King of Pop since Michael Jackson has passed away but if not, here they are.
“You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King. First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century its Kanye’s time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael but someone needs to pick up where he left off and there’s nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop.”
Now, I know I’m country and from Kansas but Kanye is either one of the dumbest smart people on the planet or he says shit just to say it. I won’t recap all of his comments but there have been a number of ocassions where Kon The Louis Vuitton Don makes himself look like a fool. Let me say that I am and have been a fan of Kanye’s music up until 808′s but shit like this makes me want to break all of his cds and never listen to him again. Of course I wouldn’t expect anyone else to say some shit like this except Kanye but damn. Did he really just compare himself to Elvis and Michael Jackson. It’s hilarious that he said “I am willing to take that on” like he is doing everyone a favor for filling Michael Jackson’s socks. C’mon Yeezy, you got so many things going for you right now including a terrible, pop album littered with horrible lyrics and terrible singing, two shoe deals with Nike and Louis and a bad-ass, bald headed woman that is fucking everyone else in the industry, don’t you think it’s time to fall back and keep the 80′s here as long as you can. Now I think I have to go listen to College Dropout to remind me that Kanye is capable of doing something well. Honestly thought, I think he just says shit to make people talk. It is a beautiful marketing/PR scheme but he needs to be careful about what he says because MJ is the GOAT. I doubt people will ever be touring Kanye’s home like Graceland or Neverland Ranch. I would not like to hear anything else from Kanye until Good Ass Job comes out. Let’s get back to the program Yeezy.
