Really Big Pun???????  Of course Deep Cover 98 had to be my joint of the day.   The first time I heard that shit, I ran it back like seven times just to get the lyrics down so I could rap that part all week.  I even called my mom and warned her that I would be saying those bars all vacation.  I can’t say that I even noticed when Fat Joe raps but he seems to do alright in the midst of Pun absolutely KILLING this joint.  I am a little confused however.  Did Dre give Pun and his label permission to use that joint for an album?  I know reggae/dancehall artists use the same beat all the time but I have rarely seen hip hop artists do it on albums, only on mixtapes.  My guess is that Dre heard Pun’s version and was like “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA, you can use that shit.”  If you haven’t heard this joint, BOY, you are in for a pleasant surprise.  I got to say it again.  I’m sorry Pun for sleeping for way too damn long.  You are a legend and it is an absolute shame we lost you.  I mean, you made TS step up their game 1200%.  Now Fat Joe moved to Miami and does southern hip hop.  Which is not a bad thing, it’s just not a good thing for CRACK.  Today will be my last official day in Chicago for a week.  I will be lampin(never really knew what that meant) on the Jersey Shore.  Pray for good weather for me.  If you see me getting attacked by a dolphin or a crab, someone please help me.  I will try to keep up my daily posts but I can’t promise anything.  The ocean is a little more appealing than the internet even though I do love it here.  Enjoy hump day.  Enjoy some more Big Pun and don’t cry for me while I’m gone.
